About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant to join our team on a casual basis at our Belconnen store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with pets and providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet business objectives.
  • Assist with merchandising and visual displays, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Lift heavy items (e.g., bags of dog food) as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • A real customer service focus with the ability to wow our customers.
  • Highly motivated and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Determination to succeed and exceed targets.
  • Eye for detail and ability to multitask.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Strong merchandising skills and ability to maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Commitment to the care and well-being of animals.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to help you grow your career within the business.
