Key Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our dynamic team.

This rewarding role involves working closely with children and young people who require individualized support to develop their daily living skills, work towards personal goals, and build strong relationships with families and the community.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care that promotes independence and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of daily living skills and capacity for self-care in a nurturing environment.
  • Provide tailored support to help individuals work towards their personal goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders within the community.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Behaviour Support Plans to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes to ensure seamless client care.
  • Act as an advocate for the rights and interests of clients, promoting their views and preferences.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, reflective practice sessions, and supervision to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Certificate III in Individual Support or higher qualification.
  • Current National Criminal Police Check, NDIS Workers Check, Working with Children Check, and Child Safe Environments training.
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for transporting clients (if required).
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR accreditation.
  • Manual Handling certification.
