Job Description

We are seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead our team in designing and implementing protection systems for transmission and distribution networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power system analysis, earthing design, and secondary design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Design and implement protection schemes for transmission and distribution systems.
  • Conduct fault studies using software such as PowerFactory, PSSE, and PSCAD.
  • Develop and review detailed designs for protection schemes, including R&I diagrams and protection settings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the New Zealand Institute of Engineers (CPEng).
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power system analysis and secondary design.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
