The opportunity

As a Payroll Team Leader, you will be accountable for delivering effective and efficient payroll operations ensuring appropriate payment, disbursement, checking and reconciliation procedures are in place and that these procedures are performed on a timely basis and in line with the industrial and legislative requirements.

Working closely with the National Payroll Manager and Assistant Payroll Manager, success will be built upon strong relationships with Payroll team members, suppliers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to -

Managing end to end payroll processing for a portfolio of Regis facilities. Prepare and reconcile all State / Federal tax and other withholding obligations, including but not limited to PAYG tax, Payroll tax and Superannuation Guarantee withholdings. Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of annual statutory returns. Implement and monitor effective Payroll processes and controls. Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to deliver efficiency into the payroll process within the team and across the business. Collaborate and co-ordinate with operational teams, payroll team members, other finance team members and relevant departments to achieve optimal business outcomes.

What you'll bring to the role

Experience leading a payroll team in a high volume /complex organization. Experience interpreting multiple complex Awards/Agreements and explaining these concepts to others. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Experience working with Chris21 and HumanForce systems. In-depth knowledge of tax legislation to the extent it relates to payroll processing. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
