Job Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the organization and operation of the maintenance department. This includes coordinating with team members to ensure efficient use of resources, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize equipment performance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a weekly maintenance schedule to maintain optimal equipment condition and reduce downtime.
  • Source and procure critical spare parts and engineering services from national and international suppliers.
  • Provide on-call support to fitters outside regular hours and assist in coordinating repairs during breakdowns.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to site requirements to minimize equipment failures.
  • Ensure the maintenance team has necessary tools and resources to refurbish parts and maintain equipment effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar production team leadership position.
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting utilities and packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience working in an automated manufacturing environment.
