Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance across the plant in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.

Your objective will be to ensure all site maintenance and corrective tasks are carried out to guarantee plant and equipment reliability. You will also support and undertake maintenance and engineering projects to continuously improve business capability and reliability.

About the Role
  • Carry out site maintenance and corrective tasks to ensure plant and equipment reliability.
  • Plan maintenance activities without supervision.
  • Follow safe work practices at all times.
  • Attend breakdowns and resolve operational or technical problems to minimize business interruptions.
  • Provide trouble-shooting expertise as required.
  • Perform modification work and general facility maintenance.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in job procedure development.
  • Participate in projects as directed.
  • Develop and implement modern maintenance, reliability systems, and practices.
  • Supervise apprentices as required.
  • Provide reasonable support/supervision outside normal working hours as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Trade-qualified fitter or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge and experience in safe working practices/procedures.

- Previous manufacturing fitter experience.

- Ability to understand technical drawings.

- Competent computer skills.

- Reliable, self-motivated individual able to work unsupervised in a team environment.

- Team Player, trustworthy, and great work ethic.

- Quick learner.
