Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Dams group, you will contribute to the design and management of water infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience in dam design and construction. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways, and appurtenant structures
  • Conceptual to detailed design of dams and structural components of dams
  • Inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing dams
  • Construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Preparation of tenders and proposals and providing mentoring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated capability in structural design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings, and specifications, ideally within the dam industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and the local industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
