The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our client's team, a reputable company with over 30 years of experience in creating innovative and beautiful workplaces across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile estimates and costings for clients and potential clients for design and construct office fitout solutions.
  • Assess material, labour, and equipment required and analyze cost comparisons of sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential project risks and associated risk costs.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Meet with clients, sales teams, contractors, and suppliers to discuss project details.
  • Consult with design teams to ensure design intentions are met.
  • Complete estimates in compliance with client/stakeholder expectations of time and quality.
  • Provide subcontractor and supplier selections and recommendations.
  • Provide project scopes and budget estimates to delivery teams, and manage estimating handovers.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Building and Construction, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management – Cert IV or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the construction industry as an Estimator, across fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Sound understanding of Design & Construct proposals with budget and market tendering experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and services plans and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
