Freight Transport Specialist

As a Freight Transport Specialist, you will be the backbone of our supply chain operation. Your key responsibility will be to transport goods safely and efficiently from our warehouses to our stores across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering stock on time, adhering to scheduled routes and ensuring timely arrival at destination stores.
  • Ensuring safe loading and unloading of trailers, with personal accountability for correct transportation of goods.
  • Conducting thorough pre-departure checks and safety inspections to minimize any potential risks during transit.
  • Operating all machinery in accordance with strict safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • A valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi-Combination (MC) license is mandatory for this role.
  • Significant experience operating semi-trailers is required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and deadlines while prioritizing safe transportation practices.
  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with warehouse and store staff.
  • Calm and logical approach when handling unexpected challenges during transit.
