Livestock Manager Opportunity

The Livestock Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of livestock operations, including drafting, culling, branding, weaning, and animal health treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Livestock Operations Management: Ensure all aspects of livestock handling and quality control are undertaken safely and with a focus on animal welfare standards and high-quality seedstock production.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely livestock records to support informed decision-making and data-driven insights.
  • Team Development and Training: Develop and train Seedstock team members to build strong seedstock knowledge and technical capabilities, fostering a high-performing and knowledgeable workforce.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in stud cattle operations, ideally with black cattle (Ultrablack, Brangus, Angus or similar).
  • Strong understanding of livestock quality control measures, animal health, and pasture management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for supporting team growth and development.
  • High level of initiative and an eye for continuous improvement, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
