Senior Industrial Designer Job

We are seeking an ambitious and innovative individual to join our dynamic products department. As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the vision of our products and bringing them to life.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in our office, Monday to Friday. You will collaborate with a team of industrial designers and report directly to the Chief Products Officer.

Responsibilities
  • Design high-quality consumer products from concept through to mass production.
  • Collaborate on product strategy and vision.
  • Mentor junior designers and assist in their growth and development.
  • Work closely with offshore suppliers to bring products to mass production.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends.
  • Prototype design concepts using various methods, including mock-ups and 3D printing.
  • Evaluate products against safety and quality standards.
  • Develop products that meet our brand's high standards while incorporating a unique design voice.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design or a recognized equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar role designing quality consumer products.
  • Advanced-level Solidworks CAD skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or autonomously as required.
  • A modernist approach to design, demonstrating an intuitive understanding of balance, line, proportion, color, and finish.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas for work.
