Engineering Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Mills Recruitment. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of engineering and design projects, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting client expectations.

About Our Client

Mills Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the resources and infrastructure sectors. Our client is a well-established Project Management and Engineering company that excels in developing and executing high-quality projects for these industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expand the portfolio of projects for key clients.
  • Lead a team of project engineers responsible for studies, engineering design, and supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with company Directors and team members to maintain the company's high standard of service and client satisfaction.
  • Meet revenue and performance targets for clients.
  • Manage client relationships, including expectations, project scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
  • Mentor and develop the project engineering team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing sustaining capital projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in projects with engineering and design fees ranging from $10K to $2.5M.
  • Significant experience managing engineering projects focused on materials handling in Sustaining Capital/Brownfields environments.
  • At least 15 years in the mining industry, with most of this experience in a multi-discipline design environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years as a senior project engineer or project manager.
  • Strong portfolio management experience.
