
HR Professional Lead

As an experienced HR professional, you will collaborate with senior management to ensure all human resources, training and compliance requirements are met.
- Provide employee relations advice as the first point of contact.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Assist employees in interpreting awards, company policies, and employment agreements.
- Offer timely and accurate advice to managers on performance issues, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Conduct investigations, prepare reports, and gather relevant information according to grievance procedures and policies.
- Review and update job descriptions, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate staff training, including understanding funding for trainees/apprentices and managing expiring qualifications (forklift, first aid, CPR, RMLV).
- Organize workplace performance meetings: probation review, performance review, counseling/disciplinary actions.
- Provide generalist HR administration support to senior management, including reporting, generating letters and documents, coordinating meetings, and reviewing policies and position descriptions.
- Support the CFO in workers' compensation claims management and coordinate RTW programs as required. Provide payroll support and review weekly payroll.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Operations Manager on club compliance requirements.
- Oversee club rostering.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-5 years of HR experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources; minimum Diploma-level qualification required.
- Ability to interpret award information and employment agreements; understanding of Modern Awards and National Employment Standards.
- Experience in gathering information, conducting investigations, and preparing documents and letters related to performance issues, disciplinary issues, and grievances.
- Ability to apply HR policies consistently with best-practice approach.
- Develop relationships and engage with stakeholders in a consultative manner.
- Ensure contractors comply with procedures (security certificates/insurances, trained and licensed security guards, etc.).
- Contractors and staff documentation: maintain relevant checks and records.
