We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Property team focusing on commercial, industrial, and retail leasing. Our Sydney team is growing and we're looking for a skilled lawyer with at least 7 years' PQE.

About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside highly credentialled Partners with a focus on leasing. You will have direct client contact and the ability to build on existing client relationships as well as develop your own. You will work with both a high level of autonomy and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating leases, advising on compliance and leasing strategy, and managing end-to-end transactions. You'll also mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development initiatives.

Requirements

The successful candidate will bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in property law;
  • Strong technical skills in drafting and negotiating complex lease documents;
  • Experience advising landlords across retail, commercial and industrial sectors;
  • Proven ability to build rapport with clients and deliver pragmatic legal advice;
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to mentor junior colleagues; and
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet tight deadlines;
