Equality Australia, the nation's leading LGBTIQ+ rights organisation, seeks an experienced Philanthropy Manager to lead the delivery of a major gifts-focused fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will ensure the organisation has the income and partnerships needed to achieve its mission.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Operations Director, the Philanthropy Manager will champion equality through strategic fundraising, building relationships with major donors, decision makers, and high-value prospects. This role requires a strong commitment to advancing LGBTIQ+ rights and equality, with knowledge of Australian politics and LGBTIQ+ communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and refine the Fundraising Plan in collaboration with the Board and Fundraising Committee.
  • Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, decision makers, and high-value prospects.
  • Plan and deliver donor events and online fundraising campaigns to inspire giving and maximise outcomes.
  • Expand bequests and grow the future fund, while securing financial and in-kind partnerships.
  • Maintain strong donor engagement, and track, report, and evaluate fundraising outcomes against strategic goals.
