Job Title: Philanthropy Manager
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated fundraising professional to champion equality through strategic giving. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact for LGBTIQ+ communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Refine Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and Fundraising Committee to deliver a comprehensive fundraising plan.
- BUILD Donor Relationships: Establish and steward relationships with major donors, decision makers, and high-value prospects.
- Deliver Donor Events: Plan and execute 2–4 donor events annually to inspire giving and maximise outcomes.
- Secure Financial Partnerships: Expand bequests and grow the Equal ALLways future fund, while securing financial and in-kind partnerships.
- Track and Evaluate Outcomes: Maintain strong donor engagement, track, report, and evaluate fundraising outcomes against strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts and building high-trust partnerships. They bring a strong commitment to advancing LGBTIQ+ rights and equality, with knowledge of Australian politics and LGBTIQ+ communities.
Requirements:- Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in fundraising, including major donors/high net worth individuals, donor portfolio management, and experience with planned giving and Gifts in Wills fundraising.
- Fundraising Expertise: Experience delivering high-impact fundraising events and campaigns.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire, influence, and maintain confidentiality, at the highest level.
- Organisational Skills: Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to balance multiple priorities while working collaboratively or independently with initiative and adaptability.
This role offers a salary of up to $140K plus superannuation (FTE), 5 weeks' annual leave, wellbeing initiatives, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, values-driven team.
Work Arrangements:- Based in Melbourne or Sydney with hybrid WFH arrangements.
