Specialist General Medicine Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled medical professionals to join our team as Specialist General Physicians, providing comprehensive services in Hospital in the Home (HITH) settings.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist general medicine services within a HITH service at Lismore Base Hospital and provide clinical leadership across the district.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing expert clinical care to patients, including those in their homes, and participating in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  2. Leading and contributing to training programs for clinicians, focusing on quality education and safe clinical practices.
  3. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the role, adhering to best practices and staying current with industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician or equivalent international medical pathways.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice relevant to the Hospital in the Home Service, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, embracing opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and willingness to travel for work-related purposes.
