About the Role

The IT&C Trainee will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering high-quality IT services to support the growth and innovation of McLean Care. As a key member of the team, you will provide hands-on support across a range of IT&C functions, with a primary focus on delivering first-level technical support, assisting in IT asset management, and contributing to the maintenance and administration of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal users, resolving common technical issues and escalating complex problems to senior team members.
  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT projects, working closely with the broader IT&C team.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve IT service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking concepts.

About You:

  • Year 12 High School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Current unencumbered NSW Driver's Licence.
  • A foundational understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, identify root causes, and apply practical solutions.
  • Commitment to providing excellent service to internal and external users by addressing their IT concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain attention to detail when working on multiple tasks or under pressure.
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals and learning from experienced colleagues.
  • Strong enthusiasm for acquiring new technical skills, staying updated with emerging technologies, and adapting to evolving IT practices.
  • Awareness of the importance of data security, privacy, and following organisational processes related to IT&C practices.
  • Capacity for overnight travel.
