Job Title: Operational Excellence Specialist">

The Quality & Compliance Manager will take ownership of developing and implementing a comprehensive quality management strategy, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining required ISO certifications.

This role involves coordinating internal and external compliance requests in areas such as Modern Slavery, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health & Safety.

The manager will oversee the collection of compliance-related information from suppliers and business partners as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continuously develop the company's quality management strategy.
  • Keep policies and procedures updated through consulting with key stakeholders and drafting and updating procedures to align.
  • Educate employees on the company's quality management approach and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits across departments to ensure procedures are well understood and followed.
  • Provide support regarding customer quality requirements by acting as liaison between customers, sales, operations, RMA, and product.
  • Use the Quality Management System for developing internal audit plans and conducting internal audits.
  • Spearhead the ISO re-certification process for ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001.
  • Compile and communicate internal and external audit findings to management and track to completion.
  • Support areas of the company where significant system nonconformance or deficiencies are identified.
  • Manage Occupational Health and Safety procedures and implement measures to ensure ongoing OHS compliance.
  • Serve as quality issues expert by interacting with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Distribute, collect, and analyze customer feedback using Net Promoter Score to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Receive and coordinate input to customers' questionnaires relating to overall compliance.
  • Manage supplier-related issues on behalf of the department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Quality, Engineering) and 5 year's experience in quality and compliance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of the ISO certification framework and principles.
  • Ability to multitask and work with limited supervision on long-term ISO projects.
  • Experience with modern slavery legislation and requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OHS regulation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, product, vendors, warehousing, branch operations, and systems.
  • Ability to analyse operational processes and develop and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Writes reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Teamwork skills to encourage cooperation within various departments.
  • Strong attention to details.
