About this role

Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our dynamic haematology team. We pride ourselves on delivering complex, compassionate care to a diverse group of patients.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments.
  • Identify and implement discharge planning requirements.
  • Plan appropriate care in consultation with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Prioritise and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions as needed.

The successful candidate will be able to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity. They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to practice.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development.
