Job Requirements

As a Disability Support Worker at 9D Care, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides 24/7 support to our clients. We offer flexible work arrangements, including part-time, full-time, and casual positions, to accommodate your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily tasks, such as showering, dressing, personal hygiene, eating, and drinking, as well as getting in and out of bed.
  • Provide emotional and practical support, drawing on your life experiences to build rapport and friendship with our clients.
  • Support clients in engaging in social and community activities, such as outings, holidays, library visits, movies, concerts, community events, and social groups or sporting activities.
  • Develop life skills and participate in group activities.
  • Offer social support and respite services.
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities.
  • Perform household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, gardening, and home maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Valid and current working with children check (when required).
  • A current National Police Check Clearance.
  • Able to pass worker screening requirements.
  • Have working rights.
  • Open Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Your own reliable comprehensively insured vehicle (desired).
  • Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • A Smartphone with internet access.
  • Knowing a language apart from English will be an advantage but not necessary for the role.
