We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and comfortably in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily tasks, such as showering, dressing, personal hygiene activities, eating and drinking, and getting in and out of bed.
  • Provide emotional and practical support, drawing on your life experiences to build rapport and friendship.
  • Support individuals to engage in social and community activities, such as outings, holidays, library visits, movies, concerts, community events, and social groups or sporting activities.
  • Assist with life skills development, group activities, social support, respite, transportation, and household tasks, including meal preparation, household cleaning and laundry, gardening, and home and yard maintenance.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Valid and current working with children check (when required).
  • A current National Police Check Clearance.
  • Able to pass worker screening requirements.
  • Have working rights.
  • Open Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Your own reliable comprehensively insured vehicle (desired).
  • Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • A Smartphone with internet access.
  • Knowing a language apart from English will be an advantage but not necessary for the role.
