Job Title: Patient Transport Officer

We are seeking a professional to provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients, staff, and deliveries within the Broken Hill Health Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transfer patients from one location to another, including hospitals, medical appointments, nursing homes, or private residences under the supervision of a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Transportation of staff and deliveries as requested.
  • Maintain vehicles, plan, and arrange maintenance of vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C and Current Apply First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physically capable of transferring patients, loading, unloading and manoeuvring patients around, on and off stretchers or wheelchairs.
  • Demonstrated experience with using computer systems and Microsoft programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of challenges of working in a remote area.
  • Demonstrated previous experience relating to position.
