Primary Care Visiting Medical Officer

We are seeking a qualified healthcare professional to join our team as a Primary Care Visiting Medical Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general medical services to patients within correctional environments in our facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager and Clinical Director to enhance existing services in line with organisational needs and best practice.

This role is responsible for addressing complex healthcare needs while training and broadening your treatment capabilities to maximise patient outcomes. You will work alongside skilled colleagues in a supportive environment that values inclusivity and diversity.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice or Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee Award.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in General Practice with knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
