We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Engineer to join our team at Providence Infrastructure Consultants, Inc. As a key member of our power and infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our telecommunications power and transmission facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement power and transmission facilities for our telecommunications network
- Provide expert-level power engineering support for building and operating telecommunications power and facility infrastructure
- Lead technical teams in network builds, lifecycle, and capacity upgrade projects
- Assess and implement new technologies to improve power system efficiency and reliability
- Ensure operational integrity of power systems and transmission facilities
- Provide L3 technical support for our Network Operations Centre (NOC)
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in the telecommunications industry as a power and/or infrastructure engineer
- Proven track record in delivering power and facility upgrade projects, including grid-powered and off-grid CEVs across remote regions of Australia
- Project experience in producing, reviewing electrical and control drawings for CEVs
- Operational experience in implementing and operating remotely managed power technologies
- Good experience in resolving and rectifying faults in telecommunications networks and data centres
- Project and operations hands-on with Solar PV, DC, AC, Battery technologies from leading vendors
