The accounting industry is constantly evolving, and with this role, you will be at the forefront of managing financial records, preparing tax statements, and ensuring compliance with tax laws. This job requires a strong foundation in financial software and excellent communication skills.

About this role:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team who has experience in coordinating reconciliations, compiling monthly reports, and implementing solutions tailored to client needs. You will be working closely with the Business Services division to service external clients and contribute to the development of firm processes to improve turnaround time and work quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and update various accounting systems, including MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Independently prepare various tax statements and manage financial records.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews and assist with fiscal year-end preparations.
  • Process bank transactions, manage payroll functions, and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Participate in the development of firm processes to improve turnaround time and work quality.

Requirements

  • TAFE/higher qualification within accounting or bookkeeping.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role, with a strong foundation in financial software.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to task management.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and commitment to quality.
