CSSD Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our perioperative team in the role of CSSD Technician.

About the Role:
  • Perform thermal disinfection inspections, packaging, and sterilizing of instrumentation for theatre and clinical areas to ensure compliance with AS/5369:2023 standards.
  • Operate, interpret, and document machinery operational requirements.
  • Report and document quality activities, prioritizing instrumentation and processes to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Thermal Disinfection Inspection and Sterilization: Ensure all instrumentation is properly disinfected and sterilized in accordance with AS/5369:2023 standards.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate and interpret machinery operational requirements to ensure proper function and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Document all quality activities, including thermal disinfection inspections and sterilization procedures.
  • Prioritization: Prioritize instrumentation and processes to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • A sound knowledge of AS/5369:2023.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge of instrumentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • An intermediate level of computer literacy, including electronic tracking systems.
  • A Certificate III qualification or higher, along with an interest in promoting best practice patient care.
