
Perioperative Nurses

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our team at Calvary Central Districts Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for perioperative trained nurses to work in a supportive environment with ongoing professional development and flexible rostering.
- We're looking for dynamic nurses who are passionate about theatre work, specializing in orthopaedic, general, gynae, ENT, endoscopy, plastics, urology, and ophthalmology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive health outcomes.
- Coordinate nursing and healthcare practices, practicing independently and interdependently, with accountability and delegation where appropriate.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of perioperative nursing experience
- Current APHRA certification
- Postgraduate qualifications in Scrub/Scout or Anaesthetic/Recovery are highly desirable but not essential
- Adaptability, team spirit, and a drive to learn and support colleagues
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Requirements
- Must have current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse (RN) or enrolled nurse (EN)
- Must have completed or be eligible to complete the Perioperative Competency Standards
- Must be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
