The role of a Trainee Registrar/CMO in AFRM is multifaceted and challenging, requiring strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse range of patients on the 34-bed rehabilitation ward, including those with stroke, neurological, orthopaedic, geriatric, cardiac and cancer rehabilitation needs.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with patients and their families, providing them with timely updates and setting realistic goals for their rehabilitation journey.
  • Act as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in all hospital activities and contributing to the development of comprehensive care plans.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a medical degree and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Possess postgraduate clinical experience, with a minimum of two years, covering various conditions including orthopaedic, neurological and medical cases.
  • Demonstrate expertise in patient management, encompassing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
