Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert : Create AlertABOUT THE ROLEThe position of Field Clinical Specialist Manager – Electrophysiology (FCSM) is to lead the day-to-day activities of the Clinical Specialist team in the South, to drive clinical excellence through developing the Clinical Specialist team and responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Clinical Specialist team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Additionally, the FCSM ensures team members stay up to date with industry, competitor and product knowledge.The FCSM will frequently work in close collaboration with Territory Managers and other commercial leaders to ensure effective and efficient clinical case coverage across the region based upon the clinical customer needs.
This includes collaboration across both the EP team (cases) and CRM team as hybrid (EP & CRM) Clinical Specialists may report to and / or work to support EP cases under the general leadership of the FCSM.The FCSM works closely with the Clinical Educators – Electrophysiology to achieve alignment between online, formal, hands on and didactic training courses (facilitated by the Clinical Educator), and in-field clinical coaching to achieve clinical excellence with FARAPULSE, RHYTHMIA, Access Solutions products, and where appropriate POLARx, LABSYSTSEM PRO and any new electrophysiology technologies launched by Boston Scientific.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe key responsibilities outlined below rely on the ability to utilise technical expertise and experience within the field of electrophysiology (including propagation of electrical circuits within cardiac tissue and the pathophysiology of electrical rhythm disorders), biophysics of radiofrequency, cryo-thermal ablation, 2D and 3D electroanatomical mapping principles to lead the Electrophysiology team to be able to :Provide clinical support including basic trouble-shooting, and clinical guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmiasProvide the measurement of electrical circuits within the heart and perform stimulation protocols as per physician requests to measure the electrical conductivity of the heart to aid in the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmiasDevelop and maintain a deep technical understanding of, and provide the technical training of company products to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists and NursesSupport Boston Scientific team members on cases face to face (or remotely) and providing support where required on training / advice to clinical team members on clinical attributes / techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology products including :Providing guidance to the clinical specialists to effective deliver clinical support for : FARAPULSE, OPAL, LAB SYSTEM PRO, MAESTRO 4000, METRIQ, plus support for the full range of Boston Scientific EP CathetersPeople Development :Responsible for supporting a high performing team and facilitating a positive winning spirit and collaborative culture.Identifying and attracting Clinical Specialists and supporting their onboarding into the team and organisationProactively applying own technical knowledge and experience to coach team members in the field and providing constructive feedback, identifying training needs to support and achieve individual and business goals as well as development objectivesDrives positive employee engagement and team culture within the team and across the EP divisionBuilding and Maintaining Relationships :Builds and maintains strong relationships and understanding of customersMaintains contact with major accounts and key relationshipsSupports key customers with education forumsAttends and participates in customer, company and industrysponsored events and meetingsDevelops and maintain relationships with functional areasClinical Excellence :Be a subject matter expert in the product portfolio and can differentiate each product line against competitor productsContinual development and maintenance of clinical knowledge through published literature, conference addresses and local clinical expertiseShares clinical and technical experiences in a way that motivates others and teaches applicable skillsKnowledge shares and coaches others in the field through actively partnering with team members on casesCoaches team members to provide case support to support the sales plan & strategyActively supports divisional initiatives to achieve business strategies and goals through the Clinical Specialist teamBusiness Processes :Provides input into Salesforce over Account potential and Customer behaviour based on defined market segmentationApplies business practices and methods in own job functionEnsures Clinical Specialist team integration with related areas to deliver programs, services and resultsWorks as part of a larger group on Therapy Development by identifying the referring network to increase patient flow in relation to Strategic Business Partnerships & KOLsSupports Territory Managers with KOL managementworks collaboratively with Business Development and Sales team to ensure clinical services and programs are delivered to clinical stakeholdersArranges, plans and executes agreed training and proctoring activitiesWorks as part of a cross-functional team between Sales, Marketing and Clinical teams to achieve required business outcomesCreates an environment for the team to share knowledge and ideas.Customer Development :Engages customer on product clinical advantage and benefits to patient and offers exceptional clinical and procedural value to drive customer confidence particularly with new product launchesProvides feedback and contributes to business objectives, contracts and tenders where appropriateOther :To represent Boston Scientific values and integrityWorks on projects etc as needed to support the BSC businessAttending meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Ability to undertake regular domestic travel (required).
