RF Engineer Job Description

The role of an RF Engineer is to provide solutions and consultation for digital radio systems.

  • Design, optimise, upgrade and maintain radio communications systems including antenna systems, repeaters, earthing, power, propagation analysis, dispatch, subscriber equipment programming and backbone design.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing RF solutions and consultation with focus on DMR, TETRA and P25 digital radio systems.
  2. Liaising with other team members to provide the best solution for the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of advanced communication systems.
  • Installation, commissioning and maintenance of VHF and UHF digital radio equipment and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or communications systems engineering or similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of VHF and UHF digital radio equipment and standards (P25, TETRA, DMR, etc.).
