Executive Account Lead - Federal and ACT Government Portfolios

Optus is seeking an exceptional Executive Account Lead to drive business growth across major Federal and ACT Government portfolios. As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term account strategies that deliver revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead executive engagement with Federal and ACT Government agencies, building trust-based relationships with senior executives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to achieve revenue targets and expand share of wallet
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver sophisticated solutions for critical government agencies
  • Handle multimillion-dollar accounts, focusing on telecommunications, managed services, and digital transformation programs
  • Drive business development activities to grow market share and deliver against revenue targets
  • Represent Optus as the executive escalation point, ensuring excellence in delivery and service outcomes
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in or with Federal or State Government, with a consistent track record in business-to-business sales
  • Strong strategic account management expertise in large, complex organisations
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, influencing and negotiating at C-level
  • A consultative, solutions-focused selling style linking customer needs to Optus' capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen, backed by experience handling multimillion-dollar portfolios
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
