Firefighting Role

The role of an Auxiliary Firefighter is a vital part of the firefighting team, contributing to the safety and protection of communities.

As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be required to respond to emergency incidents, such as fires and other emergencies, and participate in community education activities to promote fire safety and prevention.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring your effectiveness on the fire ground.

Other key responsibilities include operating specialist firefighting equipment, maintaining station facilities, and contributing to incident reporting and general station administration.

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong commitment to community safety and be willing to commit to ongoing training and development.

Key requirements for this role include being an Australian Permanent Resident, holding a manual C Class driver's licence, and being able to live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
