We are seeking a Strategic Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this critical role will provide crucial assistance with financial advice, analysis and forecasting to support project and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the continual analysis of financial data to identify variances and/or trends to inform business decisions
  • Providing financial information and support for the tender process
  • Monitoring and analysing standard cost and standard sell rates
  • Participating in budgeting and forecasting duties, including annual and quarterly planning for business lines
  • Reviewing and preparing weekly and monthly reports/analysis of AR, WIP, DSO and Reimbursability
  • Preparing end of month dashboards and cashflow forecasting
  • Assisting project teams to ensure financial profitability and project performance

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting (CA OR CPA certification would be highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, including advanced knowledge of business planning, developing costings, formulating and monitoring budgets, and financial reporting, models and systems
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, and ability to learn/adapt to new systems
  • Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective lateral thinking skills to assist with development of improved business solutions
  • Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
