We are currently seeking a skilled Community Development professional to lead the delivery of our community development strategy across Tasmania.

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual who has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be heavily involved in strategic development and implementation of community development programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your expertise to lead the implementation of our community development strategy across Tasmania.
  • Support staff in delivering impactful community engagement activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with government, community organisations, research bodies and private sector stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver major projects and programs focused on community building, economic participation and social enterprise.
  • Contribute to grant applications and tender submissions related to community development.
Ideally You'll Have:
  • Around Five years' experience in developing and implementing community development programs.
  • Strong project management experience - including design, development, implementation and coordination.
  • Knowledge of the social enterprise sector.
  • Experience in the social or community housing industry (highly regarded).
  • A proven ability to build strategic partnerships with external organisations.
  • A deep commitment to the right of every person to quality housing and a sense of belonging.
  • A current drivers licence.
