About the Role
As a Mine Plant Project Engineer at Technical Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of equipment packages to our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned packages, driving their successful delivery.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and offer guidance to clients on package scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to develop tender documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Evaluate technical bids, participate in tender selection, and recommend award to suppliers.
- Coordinate kick-off meetings and serve as the primary contact for suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor supplier progress, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation plans as needed.
- Provide direction to suppliers and contractors on package deliverables, variations, and quality control.
- Work with the quality team to implement QA/QC programs, including inspections, testing, and resolving non-conformance reports.
- Support the procurement team in addressing supplier claims and ensuring timely payment.
- Coordinate with site teams to arrange delivery and post-delivery support for equipment installation and commissioning.
- Approve and close document deliverables, including Master Data Records and As-Built drawings.
- Assess progress for payment and initiate warranty claims as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in package engineering for equipment used in crushed and convey iron ore processing plants, including crushers, feeders, screens, rock breakers, dust collectors, conveyor components, winches, magnets, weighers, hydraulic power units, and pumps.
