Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at Marble, a growth-focused Australian resources company. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and efficiency of our underground operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver short-term planning and optimize mine design and budgets.
  • Ensure safety requirements are met in engineering designs and plans.
  • Lead and mentor a small engineering team.
  • Supervise daily operations in the engineering department.
  • Manage and develop budgets for projects and operations.
  • Oversee mine establishment works, including engineering and ventilation design.
  • Conduct project work, including shaft excavation and pumping.
  • Track rapid development and oversee support activities.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and minimize mining impacts.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors to enhance productivity and safety.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • 5+ years of senior experience in underground metalliferous mining.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Proven leadership and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in contractor management.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget management and operational optimization.
  • Ability to conduct feasibility studies and economic analyses.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Deswik, and VentSim.
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
About the Company

Marble is a leading Australian resources company dedicated to building a portfolio of gold and copper assets through exploration, development, and acquisition. We are expanding our existing processing plant and extending the mine's life through the development of a nearby deposit.

About the Project

The project involves the expansion of our existing processing plant and the development of a new underground mine. The mine will employ a combination of long hole open stoping and sub level caving mining methods. The deep sections of the mine are seismically active, often experiencing rock defamation in the shoulders subject to high stress.
