Job Description

As a senior structural engineer, you will be part of our industry-leading dams team, contributing to feasibility studies, design, construction, and asset management. You will collaborate with specialists nationally and internationally to develop sustainable water solutions and mentor the next generation of engineers.

We offer an unparalleled opportunity to work on complex and high-impact projects across the country. With major investment in dam infrastructure, you will have the flexibility to base yourself in various offices across Australia, including Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Perth, or Melbourne.

The role involves:

  • Structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways, and appurtenant structures
  • Conceptual to detailed design of dams and structural components of dams
  • Inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing dams
  • Construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Preparation of tenders and proposals and providing mentoring
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated capability in structural design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings, and specifications, ideally within the dam industry
  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, seeing challenges as opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and grow
