As a Horizontal Directional Driller with our company, you will be part of a powerhouse delivery team that excels in the industry. Our robust pipeline of works is national in scope, and we are a leading organisation with a track record of project delivery and quality.

Are you an experienced Horizontal Directional Driller (HDD) with excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality?

Our seasoned Project delivery team has had strong results delivering a number of flagship programs nationally over the last 8 years, consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.

You're a Horizontal Directional Driller (HDD) who takes pride in their work and shares the values of safety and quality, always looking for ways to improve processes and deliver exceptional results.

**The Role:**

- Operation of directional drills, vacuum excavation units, and excavators is a key responsibility, requiring technical expertise and attention to detail.

- Daily schedules of works must be carefully planned, taking into account safety and environmental conditions to ensure a safe working environment.

- All plans must be accurate and completed efficiently and on time, with regular monitoring and review to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.

- Conducting risk and hazard identification whilst interpreting BYDA plans, locating underground assets prior to commencement of works is a critical aspect of the job.

- Consultation with relevant stakeholders, including internal and external teams, neighbours, and other authorities is essential for successful project delivery.

- Implementing plans and communicating operational requirements and milestones to the team is crucial for achieving key deliverables.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- Hold a HR drivers license (manual preferred)

- Confidently read and interpret project plans and specifications

- Previous experience in HDD in Telecommunication projects is highly desirable, demonstrating expertise in this field.

- Understanding of safety management systems, practices, and procedures is essential for ensuring a safe working environment.

- Experience in providing recommendations for hazard minimisation is critical for reducing risks and improving outcomes.
