Claims Performance Specialist

**About this role:**
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Claims Performance Specialist.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Melbourne or Geelong office, with flexibility to work from home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving improved Return-to-Work (RTW) and Recovery outcomes on claims. They will work closely with Worksafe and our broader team to develop innovative RTW & Recovery strategies, ensuring tailored, person-centred claims management for our injured workers in the 0-55 weeks claims teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating and managing structured multi-disciplinary case conferences with external and internal stakeholders
- Encouraging proactive and open communication with key stakeholders to develop claims management strategies with a focus on recovery outcomes
- Providing support to Case Managers and Specialist Staff in developing RTW & Recovery strategies along with staff capability through feedback and coaching
- Providing technical support and training to ensure best practice for complex claims management - any learnings will be shared across the wider business
Requirements include:
- Extensive experience in the Victorian Managed Fund Workers Compensation industry mandatory
- Extensive experience and understanding of the Victorian Workers compensation legislation
- High level of resilience and a willingness to hold complex conversations
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to build relationships and engage staff at all levels
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
