Senior Research Chemist

Evolvescientific is seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to join our team in a pivotal role that bridges the process improvement team and the chemistry management team. As a Senior Chemist, you will plan and act as a product specialist, managing all continuous improvement projects related to the product manufactured.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manage all continuous improvement projects related to the product manufactured.
- Perform higher-level method development, research investigations, analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using analytical equipment.
- Collaborate across CI, manufacturing teams from A-Z, including release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Lead and investigate projects into products, including CAPAs, deviations, and OOS.
- Coordinate calibration, maintenance, method development, validation, and stability activities in the QC laboratories.
- Maintain documentation, including procedures, work instructions, specifications, quality plans, and other quality and technical documents.
- Provide technical information for submissions to regulating authorities and customers.
- Perform technical troubleshooting for various instrumentation and test methodology.
- Participate in regulatory audits (TGA, FDA, and ARPANSA).
- Degree in Science with a Chemistry or related major.
- Australian Citizenship required.
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and analytical techniques, including ICP-MS/OES and HPLC.
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry, GMP environment.
- Pharmaceutical QC experience highly regarded.
- Experience in TGA, FDA, and NATA audits.
- Proven project management experience.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with an efficient and proactive approach.
- Strong time management skills and commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on a shift schedule, including one Sunday each month.
- Generous salary on offer, including 15.4% Super and 33% shift loading.
- Additional 10 days leave, totaling 6 weeks of annual leave.
- 1 x RDO/month.
- Rotating shift schedule, including 6am-2pm and 9am-5pm shifts, plus one Sunday/month.
