Position Overview:
As a Category Manager within Group Finance, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement process. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will be a proactive self-starter, capable of fostering collaboration, enhancing efficiencies, and achieving quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive category strategies and sourcing plans based on stakeholder needs and market analysis to optimize efficiency and value.
- Lead and manage the complete sourcing process, ensuring a strategic approach to market engagement while minimizing risks.
- Develop and implement negotiation tactics, spearheading discussions on complex and high-stakes supply agreements.
- Conduct thorough market and competitor assessments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Promote innovation while effectively managing commercial, contractual, operational, and ethical risks.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and category management.
- Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities, coupled with a solid understanding of commercial dynamics.
- A collaborative team player, skilled in delivering results for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience navigating complex environments with significant supplier and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with onboarding new suppliers and managing ongoing supplier performance.
