Senior Emergency Response Trainer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Trainer to join our Fire and Rescue operations team.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs that meet contractual requirements. This includes developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices, and program implementation.

  • Design and deliver emergency response training programs
  • Develop curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation and best practices
  • Support the development of assessment tools to ensure ongoing skills and competency maintenance
  • Contribute to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics
  • Coordinate and deliver formal training across various locations in Australia
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in firefighting and first aid capability
  • Evidence matrix of skills and competencies to support fire fighting background
  • Familiarity with emergency services and operational excellence practices
  • Experience in training and people management
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to maintain a defence baseline security clearance, as a result the successful incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
