About the role

The Process Control Engineer is a full-time permanent position, based at Ingleburn. Reporting to the Process Control Manager, you will provide support for Insulation factories in the area of Process Control (including PLCs, Supervisory systems, Robots, Databases, etc.). You will also deliver process control projects and collaborate on major capital projects that improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of factory operations. Additionally, you will ensure adequate and consistent standards (equipment, procedures, security) throughout the group, and provide training and coaching for factory personnel.

In this role you will:

  1. Work with Process Control Manager to provide expert support for all sites on process control, and to maintain a central safe storage for key programs and site backups.
  2. Deliver process control improvement projects.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver on major capital projects.
  4. Maintain, upgrade and document process control systems.
Key responsibilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronic or related engineering field.
  2. Previous experience in process control, automation, or related field.
  3. Industry experience – heavy industry, manufacturing or FMCG.
  4. Experience working with Siemens S7 PLC and InTouch HMI systems - advantageous.
  5. Experience with Microsoft SQL and Access databases - Preferred.
  6. Working knowledge of Safety systems (e.g., AS Essential).
  7. Documentation writing – essential.
