About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Manager to lead our Process Engineering team in concept principles through to design and engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the innovation process development and be able to review and correct drafting and modelling work completed by others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Process engineering team in concept principles through to design and engineering
  • Review and improve existing process engineering practices
  • Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
  • Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget, and technical requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems
  • Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies, operating cost estimates, and study reports
  • Assist with business development activities and prepare proposal documentation
  • Input to the CAD team to ensure all elements of the design process are incorporated
  • Review all CAD team outputs to ensure safety, quality, and operation standards are met
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in an engineering field (Chemical Engineering an advantage)
  • Strong understanding of the innovation process development strongly desired
  • Ability to review and correct drafting and modelling work completed by others
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and exchange necessary information with ease
  • Advanced skills with the standard features of the MS Office Suite, including Share Point
  • Ability to mathematically model process scenarios and engage others through the process
  • Model process maps to show situational scenarios
  • Generate P&ID's and PFD's and coach the process engineering team on how to do the same
  • Enthusiastic, high level of energy, goal-driven, and tenacious
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Must have 10+ years process engineering experience in a design and execute environment
  • Experience with process supply partners advantageous
  • Relevant process plant operational experience
  • Experience in CAD design relevant to Process engineering advantageous
  • Experience with project management/organizational leadership beneficial
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted technology environment
