Job Overview

The role of a Data Engineering Team Manager involves leading a high-performing team in the APAC region to develop and maintain a next-generation data platform for research and real-time trading.

This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to prioritize and achieve cross-team changes, while ensuring scalable platform components integrate globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing data engineering team, managing performance, career development, and delivery.
  • Develop and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform.
  • Design and architect scalable platform components that integrate globally.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and achieve cross-team changes.
  • Standardize ingestion and access workflows, including schema management, lineage, permissions, and audit.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer delivering production platforms and 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, reliability fundamentals, and API design skills.
  • Familiarity with data platform fundamentals, including batch/stream processing, table formats, object storage, and SQL.
  • Practical experience with streaming and batch data, such as Kafka + Schema Registry.
