We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and executing safe and cost-effective transport movements from suppliers to our distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute transportation movements to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to our distribution centers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and carriers to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and carriers to ensure high-quality service and on-time delivery.
- Perform daily transportation planning activities using our Transportation Management System (TMS).
Requirements
- Experience in transportation planning or logistics management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.
