This role will suit a professional with expertise in workplace relations, employee management, and compliance. The Workplace Relations Specialist is responsible for resolving complex employee matters, investigating incidents, and ensuring fair treatment.

About the Role

Reporting to the EM Workplace Relations department, this permanent full-time position involves:

  • Leading resolution of misconduct, performance, redundancies, discrimination, and bullying cases.
  • Interpreting enterprise agreements, awards, and employment legislation for compliance and fairness.
  • Driving enterprise bargaining processes and contributing to EBA development and renewal.
  • Conducting and overseeing workplace investigations, maintaining procedural fairness and adherence to internal and legal standards.
  • Couching and empowering P&C team members in managing employee relations confidently.
  • Designing and delivering engaging training sessions on investigations, disciplinary procedures, and respectful workplace behaviors.
About You

You are a trusted workplace relations expert with sound judgement, a calm approach, and a commitment to fair work environments.

You have confidence navigating ER matters and investigations, and you enjoy helping others build capability through coaching and training.

Key requirements include:

  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial instruments, and best-practice ER processes.
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations (NFP, healthcare, government etc).
  • Demonstrated experience conducting or managing sensitive and complex workplace investigations.
