Job Overview

The role of the Food and Beverage Operations Manager is to oversee the daily operations of food and beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest experiences by promptly attending to their needs.
  • Effectively coordinate the supervision of food and beverage outlets as rostered.
  • Ensure efficient inter-departmental interaction within the hotel at all levels.
  • Maintain clean and organized departments, addressing any maintenance or cleaning issues immediately.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs for food and beverage team members to maintain consistent professional services.
  • Ensure public areas, store rooms, and offices are kept tidy and organized at all times.
  • Team members must always be professionally presented with correct grooming, uniforms, and name badges.
  • Participate in planning and conducting theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
  • Adhere to and ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Implement controls to prevent cash or stock losses.
  • Assist other departments or outlets when required.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Perform duties as directed by senior hotel management.
  • Secure the area, especially during after-hours, ensuring doors and fridges are secured, and items are locked away before closing.
  • Monitor daily revenue charges and covers.
  • Report accurately on all issues.
  • Manage weekly stock requisitions to maintain par levels and assist with monthly stock counting.
  • Promote teamwork within the F&B department through open communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Strong people management skills to effectively supervise a diverse team.
  • Forecasting and budgeting skills to manage payroll costs and achieve profit targets.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and senior management.
