Commercial Acceleration Strategy Specialist

We're Virgin Australia, and we're back in a big way. Our airline has always done things differently, and we're looking for a Commercial Acceleration Strategy Specialist to help us drive incremental revenue increases across our commercial business.
This role is part of our high-performing Commercial Acceleration Strategy team, which is made up of top talent with diverse backgrounds and broad Management Consulting experience. As a Commercial Acceleration Strategy Specialist, you'll support the development of our broader commercial strategy and transformation roadmap, identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth and optimize our commercial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the workstream within special projects and selected deep-dives for value acceleration capture
- Supporting the development of commercial strategy and transformation
- Actively supporting the preparation for ELT/Board updates
- Proactively working with internal stakeholders across the commercial functions and across the VA Group
- Working closely with the Finance, Network, Customer channels, and Revenue Management teams
- Supporting the Senior Manager of Commercial Acceleration Strategy to identify and scope commercial opportunities, and lead the sizing of commercial benefits and investments
- Supporting delivery and optimization of initiatives as required, including tracking and measuring initiative effectiveness
Requirements include:
- Relevant Bachelor degree (or relevant post-grad degree)
- 2+ years' experience in Strategy/Management Consulting, or as a Commercial Analyst
- Experience in growth-focused work is highly desirable, but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience in preparing CEO/Board level presentations is desirable
- Very strong Excel skills, with the ability to build models from scratch where necessary
